Logistics sector: Scalable and reliable Integration landscape

Challenge

A customer providing third-party logistics services needed to continuously onboard new customers and warehouses while expanding their operations across Europe. Managing integrations for a large and growing client base required a stable setup especially with around 500 customers and 3000 interfaces in use. Sustaining efficiency and quality at scale was a key challenge.

Solution

For more than 10 years, we have acted as their key integration partner, ensuring that every new customer and warehouse could be onboarded smoothly.

  • We maintained a stable and reliable integration landscape, allowing their logistics operations to scale without disruption.

  • Through close collaboration, we improved processes, strengthened integration standards, and ensured consistency as the number of customers and interfaces increased.

SAP Integration solutions for the food industry

Solution

To manage the transition effectively, we designed a phased migration approach.

  • We progressed company code by company code, ensuring each code was fully prepared with all required integrations before go-live.

  • By selecting the right technologies for each adapter, we ran the existing integrations and the new architecture in parallel, preventing disruptions to BAU operations.

  • Using Figaf, we standardized testing, automation, and documentation, enabling the team to develop integrations more consistently and transparently.

  • Additionally, we introduced a new pipeline delivery model to streamline development and deployment processes across the team.

Challenge

A global food company aimed to move 750 ERP integrations from SAP PO to SAP Integration Suite. However, executing the transition in a single big-bang deployment would increase operational risk and make the process difficult to manage. Different adapter types, varied integration patterns, and ongoing BAU needs meant the migration required careful planning and coordination.

Result

  • All 750 integrations were successfully migrated to SAP Integration Suite following the planned sequence.

  • A more transparent and manageable monitoring setup was established for operations teams.

  • The pipeline model brought greater speed and consistency to development and deployment cycles.

  • BAU operations continued without interruption, enabling a controlled, low-risk, and well-structured transformationfor the organization.

Digital foundation for a leading retailer

Challenge

A leading retail company wanted to establish its first central integration platform on SAP Integration Suite. The organization operated with multiple systems including CRM, e-commerce applications, local ERPs from smaller entities and a central ERP in Germany but lacked a unified integration layer to ensure consistent real-time data flow. In addition outdated FTP-based interfaces and fragmented EDI processes created compliance and operational challenges.

Solution

We built the company’s first central integration platform on SAP Integration Suite and shaped the foundation for their long-term integration strategy.

  • We started by using pre-built SAP content to integrate their CRM system quickly.

  • We delivered their first EDI integrations and connected the e-commerce platform to the new architecture.

  • The new integration layer enabled local ERPs from smaller entities to communicate seamlessly with the central ERP in Germany, ensuring data was synchronized across the organization.

  • Throughout the project, we replaced outdated FTP interfaces to ensure full technical compliance, supported the implementation of DRC, and enabled the faster onboarding of new entities.

Result

  • All EDI processes were centralized on SAP Integration Suite, improving visibility and operational control.

  • The company gained a reliable, scalable integration platform capable of supporting future growth.

  • Real-time data flow between local and central systems strengthened decision-making and operational efficiency.

  • Technical compliance increased, and new entities can now be integrated more rapidly and consistently.

Challenge

An industrial bakery had recently completed its S/4HANA transformation and needed to migrate its SAP PO platform to SAP Integration Suite. Since around 90% of their integrations were based on EDI, the company required a transition that would preserve existing processes while enabling a more modern and flexible integration approach.

Solution

We migrated their SAP PO landscape to SAP Integration Suite, moving their EDI-heavy environment onto a modern and agile platform.

  • The new setup supports API-centric solutions alongside their traditional EDI landscape, giving the company more flexibility in how future integrations can be designed.

  • By introducing SAP API Management, we added an additional security layer and created a foundation that supports digital growth and future expansion.

S/4HANA readiness and API management in food production

Result

  • The organization successfully moved from SAP PO to SAP Integration Suite while maintaining all EDI processes.

  • Thanks to the ability to support both API-centric and EDI integrations, the company gained greater flexibility for upcoming projects.

  • With SAP API Management, they now have enhanced security and a strong platform ready for ongoing digital growth and flexibility.
